Is Xbox Live supported by AOL?

AOL is very different to other ISPs, which can be a source of problems for AOL members wanting to play Xbox Live.

However, Xbox Live can be made to work via AOL, but some service packages may require more effort to get things working.

You cannot connect your console directly to an AOL modem, unlike some other ISPs. You need to either:
1) Use an AOL router compatible router, which will share the internet between your PC and your Xbox. This option may only be available on certain service packages.
2) Connect your Xbox directly to your PC via a cross-over network cable, and configure Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) via Windows. There are plenty of up-to-date guides available to be found via Google.

Remember, AOL provide a 24-hour telephone helpline and online help. They also breifly mention Xbox Live in their FAQ
