Can I play online games without the Xbox Live service?
ou can if you have a PC and a home network. You cannot play every Live game, and you don’t get any benefits of the Live service, but it is possible to play system link games over the internet. Check out www.xbconnect.com and www.xlink.co.uk. Benefits of these programs are you can play non-Live games online (Halo online for example), and it’s free. The disadvantages are the games can be laggy sometimes, and it’s a bit of a hassle setting games up, especially if your PC is in a different room from your Xbox.
